I need some help fixing my Effect Audio cable. The cable broke right before it enter the 2-pin connector. I tried but could not open up the little connector. Not sure if it is glued or not but just could now figure how to open it up so I can see if I reconnect the cable. Also does it require soldering to reconnect the cable to the connector? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey Ben, have you thought about contacting them at Effect Audio and having them fix the problem for you?
To answer your question, yes I believe the 2pin connector terminal is glued on there. If you're going the DIY route you might have to buy some new 2pin connectors and rewire and yes solder them to the new connectors.
I currently own two pairs of the same ares II cables and am in the same situation as yourself.
