Hey guys! I just got my ER4ps today. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get foamies to go into my ears without the little tubes that you attach hurting my ears. Is there a correct way to insert them? Thanks!

First, make sure they're on the headphones right, the shiny side should be the one that goes in first. Then, when you get ready to insert them, compress the foam by rolling it with your fingers and insert while it's still compressed, it should expand in your ear canal. If it's too loose or too tight you might need different foamies, Etymotic sells them in different sizes.

Glad to have helped, I too prefered the foamies when I had my ER-4S's. The plastic tips had a more air-tight seal that occasionally became uncomfortable when I pulled them out, and it also caused a problem where the sound quality varied according to the pressure of the air trapped in the canal.
