Sorry about the noobish question, I have done diy stuff for a while. I have an older DAC (art dio) that I had modded and was wondering how I could go about adding a usb input. Are there any kits? Thanks

Well you could make up a wee board on which to put a TI PCM2707 and then feed either SPDIF or I2S into the DAC and put that inside your existing unit, i'm sure there will be space. You can configure the PCM2707 for bus powered operation so not too many problems there, although some of the configuration (pull up/down) resistors need to be externally powered IIRC. How you'll switch between input sources is probably the one to think about carefully (assuming you don't want to make it exclusively USB).
