hi all
wasn't sure where to post this, so portables seemed bets, since I have Ipod.
How can you tell if an MP3 was encoded using VBR (alt preset standard). I encoded all my files at 192 AAC... but occassionally I'll grab an MP3 file from someone. Usually, in Itunes, it will just say the bitrate of the MP3.... (192 or 256 etc.).... does that mean it was encoded at a constant bitrate? if it was encoded with alt preset standard would it read vbr?
just curious
