If the sr225 tag on the aluminium has been peeled off? I know an obvious way would be to listen to them, but, if that was not an option, is there any difference in the physical appeareance of sr60,80,125,225,325?

Well, you can easily rule out the 60 and 80, because both sport a 1/8" plug with 1/4" adaptor, not a 1/4" plug. The 125 should discern itself from the 225 by the plastic grille (in contrast to the metal grille of the 225), while the earcup itself is metal and not plastic on the 325...
