Hi,

I am thinking about getting the dt 1990s but im still not sure i was just wondering if these are quite bright? As im quite sensitive to high frequencies and i know most beyers have that treble spike. And also is the detail/seperation good on them?

Id be listening to Vocals, rock, classical and jazz on them plus other genres.

Yes, they are bright.
Maybe I could be more help if you gave me a headphone to compare them to?

They are also very detailed and the separation is great.

I havn't had the DT1990's people keep offering them to me to test & they never turn up. But Joshua Valour on Youtube has done a few videos on them & comparisons to them, hes bright sensitive & vocal focused which matches what you are after, so probably has a good insight for you in the videos.

The balanced pads make things slightly u-shaped in a good way. The analytical pads make them very obviously bright.
