How are these SkullCandy Headphones?

The look reminds me a little of Sennheiser's PX-100, which is a good 'phone... although I'm pretty sure they have nothing to do with each other.

Looks like most of that $29 has gone into making the headphone look nice though, I haven't heard these but from the looks of 'em I doubt they're any good. If you're new to headphones and want something cheap and sounds good, the consensus here is for the KSC-75 which you can get for $12 on Amazon.

If you want a skull massager, get Skullcandy. Otherwise.... stay away.

It's just bass. Nothing else.

How about even below that budget for spectacular headphones?

KOSS PortaPros
KOSS SportaPros
KOSS KSC-75s

All sound spectacular for headphones in that pricerange, and all have a no questions asked lifetime repair/replacement policy.

These are cheap but reviews seem good.

sounds like K26P fit your needs perfectly, has tons of bass, durable, around $30-$50. and portable.

"These stereo headphones deliver bone-shaking base and DJ-quality sound with their 40mm drivers."

What is that supposed to mean...DJ-quality sound sucks?
