Chances are yes.

Elite XC is likely to use his loss as a way to hype up a match with Shamrock again.

In terms of wither or not he should of fought of fought Seth Petruzelli, it would not of been a good choice at the time of making the discition as Petruzelli is a seasoned fighter that would be rather dangerous compared to Ken Shamrock.(As of recently)

In terms of payday the choice would may have been to do it as aside from his 500k pay he would of make 1M had he won(500k to fight 500k for the win) Also aside from his pay from elite xc there is also the payout form his sponsors.

I.E. Kaitlin Young agreed to fight Gina Carano when Carano was unable to make weight for the first Elite XC CBS Event, for the reason that the payday she got from her sponsors was more than her pay from elite xc for the bout.

Afterthoughts

For many fans it would be nice
to see more fights with Kimbo Slice
Yeah, in Florida on his home turf
he looked to me like black Papa Smurf

papa_smurf.jpg

I'm not kidding - I might go ahead
and start a Kimbo appreciation thread
I also hope that this is true:
He'll come back - he is not thru

As far as I know, across the nation
Kimbo captured the people's imagination
I know that this sounds somehow insane,
but he might be back on top of his game

And CBS was damn right
I would watch Kimbo every night
Oh! What the heck!
Why shouldn't Kimbo come back?

Ooops ... I've almost forgot
My final and important thought
We're witnessing a Cinderella Story
that might lead to Kimbo's glory

Brothers ans sisters, please read
Petruzelli in center of Elite XC storm

Quote:

Tuesday, Petruzelli said he got the story confused.

“What that meant was they offer a knockout bonus, submission bonuses, fight of the night bonuses,” Petruzelli said in a phone interview. “I think it just got misconstrued. I wanted to have an exciting fight and I wanted the knock out bonus so I wanted to keep it standing.”

It is tough to ask a fighter to take on an opponent he didn’t prepare for
at the last second and Slice’s camp initially refused a bout with any replacement.

Even more embarrassing for Kimbo is that he got his butt kicked by a guy who describes himself as a 'Goofy Homo'... MMA: Meet The Man Who Felled Kimbo (kinda NSFW...)

Kidding or not (I'm voting "kidding"), what does that do to Slice's badass macho man status?

Everything surrounding EliteXC and Kimbo stinks, starting with his suspicious KO over Bo Cantrell (never saw someone tap out to a punch), the entire Thompson fight, and now this. I have no doubt whatsoever that Petruzelli was "encouraged" to keep the fight on their feet and trade with him. This whole organization should fold and the Shaws belong in prison.

Be Quiet! Do not disturb Kimbo! No loud conversations!
Do not play loud music while reading this post.

Rest Kimbo and sleep well
those few seconds were real hell
Do not worry - it's all right
you will win your come-back fight

P.S.
As I mentioned above, Kimbo with his haircut looks to me like (black) Papa Smurf.

Well first it was awsome to see Kimbo get KOd, lookin at the slo mo it looked like he just got blocked and the other guy just start throwin like his life depended on it.. cuz it did.

But really this Elite XC crap is just UFCs WWF, people just like rougher fighting nowadays.

Well said, but ....

Three days ago I was briefly watching Evander Holyfield vs. Riddick Bowe
on the ESPN Classics.
While watching that retro fight and eating my pizza I (white guy) asked a white guy
sitting next to me:
What do you think about all that UFC fighting?
He, to my surprise, responded: All that blood, ...They call it Ghetto fighting.
He added, Holyfield had class, those UFC mother f..... have nothing.

Any comments?

Yesterday, in a pizza place, I saw on a big screen:

ESPN Headlines
Rundown

Did Kimbo loss hurt sports?

So, Kimbo draws ESPN's attention. Ha, ha, ....

Since the tv set was in a mute mode (no sound at all) I don't know
what they said. Has anyone listened to this?

P.S.
Be Quiet! Shhhh...

If anything, it helped the sport. Kimbo is a hack in the MMA world, if he continued to win it would have continued the facade of him being worthy of all the attention. That's what's great about pugilism/MMA... if you're faking it, it's only a matter of time until you get exposed.
