how about hp890

i have a phillips hp890. it doesnt sound good with my old computer. do i have to do something with that, for example buy an amp.

by the way , is it good for the price, i bought it for 60 bucks

890s sound pretty good to me , i dont have anything else to compare too, i compared it with a HD 497, and 890s were clearly better.
They have a very nice soundstage, and the level of details is quite decent for the price you pay for it.

Of course you cannot compare it to high end headphones, but they are easy to drive and fun to listen to.

is it because i dont have an amp, im considering buying one. since the 890 itself is decent of the sound quality, it must be the driver which course the problem

From my experience , 890s dont benefit too much from an amplifier, it should sound good without an amp, it is that the 890s sound less brighter with an amp. Otherwise it sounds great without an amp.

That's funny, using the Pana 570 and a comparison between the 890s with a CHA47 and a META42, there was a vast difference with the 890s but nearly none with ER6s.
