So we're all aware of the Shure PTH device that allows you to hear someone else talking without removing the IEM. It's a great idea IMO, would be incredibly useful, and ugly as hell. From what I can tell from pictures, the device itself is the size of a large portable amp. Who wants to add that to their portable setup?
Does anyone know of a smaller alternative? I would think something like this would be in high demand, if it could be more travel friendly. All it needs is a microphone that feeds into the earphone line, that can discern between background noises (my cellphone can do this). I'm wondering if any DIYers want to give this a try...
