Hi,
I've almost blown a second USB DAC in a year. Hopefully, my speakers/headphones are still OK, but I'm concerned... When I plug/unplug the USB cable while the DAC is on, it makes loud "pops" in my speakers. I blew a first DAC a year ago, probably this way. Now, my actual DAC begins to show problems. Otherwise, I fear that these "pops" could also blow a tweeter or something else...
I know, I should take the time turn off everything before playing with cables, but it's not practical for USB and sometimes I simply forget to do it. So here it is : Do you know any USB DAC that I could hot-swap without noise or risk of blowing anything, including the DAC of course ?
Thanks,
