Is there a way to hook up headphones to the SPDIF port? Also since the headphones only have quarter or 8th inch "or mine do" 1/8" mini stereo or quarter inch would there be a benefit of even doing it? Like is there such a cable that will go from the SPDIF to the mini stereo? Anyways any help would be great.

Short answer is no....headphones need an analog signal. The SPDIF port outputs a digital signal. Without a DAC in-between somewhere, the best you could hope for is digital noise (and you might not even get that).
