I know that wired is the way to go, but wired on my bike just doesn't work most of the time.

I have a pair of Jaybird Bluebuds that I like quite a bit, but it seems like since I got a new phone they don't sound anywhere near as good.

Around the same time I got the phone, I also got different pads for them, so I'm not sure if there's a relation here.

Is it possible that the same bluetooth headphones sound differently out of 2 different, modern bluetooth sources?

First source: Nexus 6 from Motorola. No complaints here, full nice sound (and my EQ settings stayed between times when the bluetooth audio was on)

New source: LG G5 - Sound almost tinny and distant. Part of this is due to the fact that I cannot get the EQ settings to stay where I left them. For some reason GMMP always reverts to either flat or the default Rock (if anyone knows why that is, please let me know...same player did not have any issues on the Nexus).
