This ad is most definitely a nod to the filmmakers Peter Fischli and David Weiss. Their 1987 film, "The Way Things Go" is a 30-minute-long showing of a contraption they built out of household items. What's so amazing is the film is that it is one continuous shot. The entire device worked in the correct order for the entire 30 minutes. (More information here.)

Is it 606 takes for the ad or 606 times you have to try to download it?

I really liked this ad when it came on. But the poster campaign was better, I thought. It was quoting Soichiro Honda seeing a car for the first time.

When Soichiro Honda was 8 years old, he saw his first motor car. It was an early edition Model T Ford. Soichiro couldn't help running after the car. 'It leaked oil,' he recalled fondly. 'I got down on my hands and knees to smell it. It was like perfume'."

And the sole picture on the poster was a Chanel-like bottle with the H logo on it. Brilliant.
