Homemade Sennheiser cable

I need a replacement cable for my HD530 II's, but I'm wondering if I can put together a cable from standard parts- maybe from Radio Shack or wherever- that would be cheaper but work pretty much as well.

Thanks for any thoughts or facts on the subject!

I'm not familiar with the HD530 II's, but if the connectors are anything like the HD-580/600's, I believe those little connectors that go into each earpiece are proprietary. Hopefully someone here familiar with those specific headphones of yours can comment more definitively.
