I have a original master amp and a little dot MKII with gain set to 5. Can I drive IEMs (i.e. triple fi, q-jays) using these amps? What about PK1? I am wondering if the high current can do any damage to the IEMs.

I use a Woo Audio 3 tube amp with my Etymotic ER4P(S). Sounds great. I haven't had any problems.

I don't think that high current is the issue. The problem may be insuffcient current. My Earmax Pro (which is waiting for me in Canada) probably won't drive my Triple-fis properly. No concern of damage - just crap sound.

Your amps won't hurt your IEMs anyway.

Are IEM's current hungry? That would make me suspicious of their performance out of an iPod and make the urge to get an amp a lot greater!
