So not sure if this is the right place, as this has to do with a DAC and an interaction with windows. If not happy to move it to DACs.

So randomly had this issue where my windows 11 slider stopped working. Basically it is either fully 100 percent audio or muted.
Now I can control the sound of the apps through their individual slider but the main slider just stopped working. Just startling because if I miss one application it remains at 100 percent blasting through (such as windows notifications )

I have it installed via USB on my computer. Have it updated ect.

Anyone else experience this? Super odd.

It sounds like the dac has exclusive access/fixed volume output. What music player are you using?

Using Tidal, however it does it across the whole system. As soon as a swap to my speakers (not using the USB dac) it goes back to working ok. I when and an unchecked give exclusive access ect as well.
