Holo Audio Red Streamer

Is there a software based solution to find out is May has USB 2,0 or USB2.1 without opening it up?
I think if you hook the May up to a device running an OS that allows you to see what's going on, you can check.

For instance:
I currently have a May connected to a Red running GentooPlayer. In GentooPlayer (running on the Red), I can either run the Systeminfo command in the web interface, or use terminal commands (lsusb or alsacap). See the 3 attachments for the results.

If you hook up the May to a Mac or a Linux machine, you can open up a terminal window and issue the lsusb command.

If you hook up the May to a Windows machine, you can try opening up Device Manager and looking at connected USB devices (under Universal Serial Bus controllers).

I do not have a Windows product at the moment. Can this be checked with a Mac?

I did get this info from Roon but it does not tell me if it is gen 2.0 or 2.1 from what I can tell:

older, otherwise it would say 2.1 WRONG!

Hi

Let's see if this helps.

When connected to Holo May with USB as intput, with the later USB card (2.1), I can select following in RED.

If I change the May input to I2S I only see the Gen 2 in RED. I do not see the Gen 2.1. So it seems RED is reading what USB you have in your DAC when using USB.
Because of this I see in Roon both of these connection, so my setup look like this, there USB uses the Gen2.1 and I2S the Gen2.

Not true. UAC 2.0 is different from the actual USB Module/Card version, it is the Audio Class, nothing to do with the Holo USB Module Version. You have the newest USB card @SLC1966.
I'm happy with standing corrected but based on what was shown, how do you determine that? I have the older USB module and that's what it displays, so I made a poor assumption.

Hello,

Have any of you been able to test and rank between the Holo RED and the SOTM 200 Neo and Ultra Neo streamers (with and without PSU) ?

Is the Holo RED > 200 Ultra Neo > 200 Neo ?

Same question with the Mano Ultra MK3 (with Farad PSU).

I think I have seen only one comment reffering to SOTM and none with the Mano...

Thank you all
