I did ultimately replace my Red but I had to go significantly upstream to an Innuos Pulsar before noticeable improvement over the Red was evident. The Red can more than hold its own against say a Lumin U2 mini but above that you can start to hear improvements over the Red but you are squarely in diminishing returns territory on the added price vs added benefit curve.I enjoy my Red. Curious as to whether any of you replaced it and with what?

Heard the new Innuos Zenith NG the other day and that really was on another level. Yes, the Zenith NG is an awesome piece of kit — very transparent, very open staging, and a very low noise floor. The Pulsar is the more “economical” option as a pure streamer but the Zenith NG is excellent as a single box streamer / server combo. I haven’t heard a Statement NG but I’m not a fan of two box solutions.Heard the new Innuos Zenith NG the other day and that really was on another level. Unbelievable transparency!

How are you connecting to your Dac. With Pulsar I connect to Tambaqui via USB reclocking port as Mola Mola ethernet port input doesn’t subjectively sound as good as USB. On my Helios, I am dual connected via Ethernet and coaxial. I prefer coaxial by a hair but again very subjective and DAC dependent. How are you connecting to your Dac. USB or Network.I have a dcs rossini, but they recommend network?
Hi, have you compared your Red with RedOS to Innous Pulsar or with better software like Gentoo or MoOde?I did ultimately replace my Red but I had to go significantly upstream to an Innuos Pulsar before noticeable improvement over the Red was evident.
