This forum has been super helpful for understanding up sampling and the PC requirements for it. Looks like I will not be able to run HQPlayer on a server VM with a Ryzen 3600 CPU for DSD512. The server is also a media server that also doesn't have a GPU.
I could just install HQPlayer on my main PC with a 3080 and 7800x and see how it goes for DSD512. It's connected to the previously mentioned server as that's my music source so that should be fine. Having everything run from my server would be cool but it seems i'll need to upgrade it if I want that. No need for now if having my main PC on is the workaround.
Currently running a Bifrost 2 going to my neutral Head-Amp GSX MKII. Hoping for a sound upgrade that provides a wider, more detailed presentation, better separation, and less harshness in the highs.
The Bifrost 2 is supposed to lean towards the warmer side but it is only my second DAC. Have not had much to compare it to.
The dsd support is a plus that im curious to test out. Did the Cyan affect the bass at all when you upgraded? @Louisiana

My question is how is the Treble, harsh/sibilant parts on the Cyan? If anyone has an R26 what’s the comparison. Mine has a MasterFuse in it..
