Last night, I literally had accepted that HL3 would never see the light of day, and then I read this news article this morning:

Other than feeling beaned for my thoughts yesterday, I admit I am pretty excited about this. What do you guys and gals think?

From the reports it sounds pretty likely that it's a prequel, set between HL1 and HL2 and from the perspective of Alyx Vance. There's a piece on Ars Technica compiling a bunch of leaks/rumors and does a nice job summing up what they know so far.

Still, even though it doesn't seem likely to be the HL3 we've been waiting for, I'm more than happy to return to the Half Life universe.

I saw the trailer for HL Alyx, I was a bit underwhelm, the story was uninteresting to me. But I will definitely try it when it goes on sale.
