I ordered today a Project Ember amp for my headphones and I was looking at several models of dedicated dacs to match up with the Ember when I started thinking that my HK has 2 AKM PCM dacs on-board.
Do you think these will be fine for the Ember or should I continue my search for a dedicated DAC?
I'm actually leaning towards the HK just because it sounds amazing to me with my Rotel DVD/CD player and Hsu speakers. I really don't know why i didn't think of the HK from the get go.
I think I answered my own question but ultimately i want the best for the Ember so I would still consider a dedicated dac if needed.
