Keep in mind reading this post that I don't know anything about amps at all. I just recently got my first pair of studio headphones, and my dad offered me an old amp of his for free, a Teac AG-D8900, and I know nothing about it, I have no idea how old it is. It does seem to improve my headphones' sound quality, but there is a noticeable hissing whenever I use it. It only seems to come from the highs, as it disappears when I turn them down. Is this hissing just because the amp is old? Is there any way to reduce it? Thanks.
