So I listen to mostly hip hop/rap. Some albums I listen to are paid in full, the chronic, Deltron 3030, Blazing Arrow, and Ready to Die. I was looking into the Beyer DT 150's and they sounded great except that a couple reviews of them said that the vocals suffered on them somewhat ( which I DO NOT want). I already have a pair of beats tours and Sennheiser HD500s. What would you recommend I get, the DT 150's or something else? Also will the vocals on them be an upgrade from anything I already have?

Maybe  HFI-780

Yes but for hiphop/rap, HFi 580 ll be better, more punchy bass, but less detailed.

How do the hifi 580/780s compare to the 150dt in terms of midrange and voice? Also would you reccomend open headphones over closed or would they compromise on the bass too much? Sorry for taking so long to reply back by the way, I was busy with Christmas family stuff.

"My preferred closed gaming headphones are still the Beyer DT150.  Great soundstage, the ear pads are DEFINITELY big enough, and they have great sound quality.

You might actually find the Pro 750 too harsh sounding for games--I could never use them for gaming, because the sound was tilted too much to treble."-joelpearce
