Measured my older DT770 600 ohm versions today. 580 ohms at dc, 630 ohms at 10 Hz, then jumping up to 720 ohms at 100Hz, down to 600 ohms at 1 kHz then back up a bit to 620 ohms at 10 kHz. The impedance peak at 100Hz will defintely give it that bass monster edge when there is some source impedance.

After searching the forums for a few hours, I couldn't find an answer: which lower priced amps can drive the higher impedance cans?

Bithead/Airhead is tempting due to its crossfeed cct and durability, but will it drive these headphones to loud clean levels, given it has only 6V tops to play with? The Xenos 0HA and GoVibe-V are both 9V designs, might work a bit better, but no crossfeed is a drawback. The 9V models will probably drain rather quickly with high z cans?

The more I read, the less interested I become in the Xin Mini (questionable durability, unknown delivery date).

Thanks for any help!
Dave
