As I am kind of new in the audiophile world I am looking for suggestions of high-res albums (any genre). What would you recommend to listen to on a good audiophile audio system/headphones? Which are particularly enjoyable?

Most of the tracks are super well recorded and for me deemed hi-rez. The mastering is much more important than the compression. Anything above 256kbps is going to sound just as good as CD sans a few artifacts.
There are a few tracks that are there for nostalgia rather than hi-rez purposes, but I think this is a great place to start when adding some new music to your system.
