Metal albums:

Subterranean Masquerade - Suspended Animation Dreaming (Like a better version of Opeth but with sound quality to die for)
My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans (Don't ask me why but this seminal Doom classical is really well recorded)
Voivod - Nothingface
Mastodon - Blood Mountain
Dark Tranquillity - Projector
Witchcraft - Firewood

Mike Oldfield - Music Of The Spheres

Instrumental contemporary classical with a vocal soprano track, fabby sound quality.

Devin Townsend - Almost all his albums
Extremely well produced with good soundstage.

Pain of Salvation - 12:5
Outstanding production and overall a beautiful acoustic album.

Check out some Porcupine Tree too.

venetian snares - rossz csillag allat szuletett (it's not pop or rap it's classical with hyperactive breakbeats, works quite well actually)

global communication - 76:14 (one of if not the best ambient records of all time, depending on mood)

the KLF - chill out (tripped out journey)

shpongle - nothing lasts but nothing is lost (psy-ambient world dub / psytrance)

aphex twin - drukgs (more of a mad genius than v.snares above)

ok so not instrumental in the rock guitar sense but quite good imo

Do not intend to hijack this thread, but I just checked that out. In a word, awesome.
Could you recommend me some similar spacey ambient music?

i don't go mad buying new music so much nowadays but you could also try,

aphex twin, selected ambient works vol.2 (can be a bit morbid in places though),

FSOL lifeforms,

biosphere - substrata,

the orb - u.f.orb,

sunelectric 30.7.94
