Hi there, everyone seems to adore the Audio Technica ATH-M50(x/xbl) headphones, I personally have never tried them, I wish to buy a pair of headphones that sound brilliant without breaking the bank. Also the ATH-M50's are pushed with an amp but I don't know which amp would be ideal. I'm a huge bass fan, but not Beats by Dre drowning bass. I love good sound with lots of bass, can someone give me a decent amp and headphones within my price range? Thanks!

I'm going to be the one who says DT 770 80 ohm and a fiio E11 for closed.

I'll reserve any open options until we know if these are these intended for portable usage or more home usage.

I don't think open back is ideal as I hate sound leakage, how are they overpriced? They're only £100 here in the UK. The DT770's look damn good but are they portable? Bass? Treble? I'm all about that bass AND treble, may order them if they're higher rated than the ATH-M50's! They need to be portable and good overall!

Thanks.

dt770 are about as portable as the M50 to be honest, which is to say quite portable, but they don't fold or anything like that. they are comfortable and isolate well.  they fit what you are after quite well.
The mids can be seen as recessed.
use the remainder of your budget to either a Fiio E12 or E11.
