Just looked into it and I literally could not find anything about them in all of the internet except for your post in the earbuds thread. Guess you weren't kidding when you said they are a tiny Indonesian company haha

$200 +$40 for shipping was taking a big risk, but I feel rewarded. QFred is on the same level as Sennheiser MX980/985 and Blox TM7, but the sound is quite different. Overall much less full sound with less deep bass. Soundstage is more narrow. But it is quite deep and tall and instrument separation is just amazing.

If no amp you should really go for the shozy. 650 is gonna be difficult to drive on the iphone. Also the earbuds roundup thread is 1000x as active as this one.

Or a roll of double sided velcro. I use it for all types of cables to keep things organized. It's great stuff!

I've read some reviews and Im not sure what people are getting at when they state that the bk is better than the zen by VE, but that the zen is more "fun"

What is that supposed to mean? If I thought that a pair of headphones where more fun it would be because the SQ was better.
