Im reading through a million tabs right now, it seems K702 need a transformer tube amp, or a solid state. no go on the OTL tubes because of the high voltage, not needed for these low impedance 702s.

See, your intensive multi-tab researching spree already proved I don't know my ass from my elbow in regard to the AKGs. I really thought the K70Xs were in the 300ohm range. Anyway, it's probably driving you nuts right now, but keep reading threads/reviews, maybe look at some impedance and frequency charts, you can never learn enough (as I've proven).
