I'm on my second 400S cable and, yes, once again it has failed at the ear-cup connector after a short period of use. A wholly inadequate design that becomes intermittent regardless of any added stress relief. To Hifiman's shame, they refuse to replace a known faulty design even though it might be out of warranty. This refusal and lack of owning up to a widespread known problem from a specialist company that would normally rely on repeat business from a dedicated following. I'll think twice before buying from them again.

Bummer. I am on #1, personally, and it is presently failing at the Y juncture. For 300 bucks you would think they would have figured out how to provide us with a competent cable. Very frustrating and expensive. Not happy with HiFiMAN!!!
