This is modification for iem & headphones witch impadence lower than 80 oms.

They modify ciems as well? Sounds like it would take forever if they'd have to open them up and I would need to send ear impressions in again.. One time waiting 2 months is already painful with customs

let me be more clearly.... This is modification of original balanced amp card. The thing is - when you switch from normal to balanced mode, impedance of amp card will become about 12ohm. And for headphones whose impedance lower than 80ohm - sound character will move to high frequency. In two words drums will sound more sharp.... 
So back to modification - It`s removing self amp impedance

I`m gonna get my modded card in next 3 days, so if anybody interesting - let me know & i`ll post my impressions. Just one thing, i`m not own any IEM`s, using HE500 with my 901 via balance...

Costs was about 10-20$ for components & about 50$ for work. 
Oh I forgot to mention - hifiman support team told me that with elfidelity balanced card impedance will not change. But since this card will not work in full potential with original 901 because of gain switch & hifiman not planning to fix it in future - I`m not interesting in new cards anymore.
