Wow, never made that realization...the "paw gold" sound is very addictive.

Both balanced and minibox gold should improve in term of SQ. I do not have minibox gold but listened to it before.. It sound quite like paw gold but less digital and aggressive. It sound muddy compared to balanced card. Thus I prefer balanced card and since got my TG334 balanced no looking back. Balanced sound the best of all that's IMHO.

But does the TG334 sound better when used unbalanced vs minibox gold ? I won't be using it balanced most of the time.

Maybe one of the fourms members could mod your minibox gold to a two tier stacked buf634. Doubling the buf output from a total of 8 to 16. It really ups the depth of the paw gold sound. Kinda like that Kendrick song "Swimming Pools"

Not the cheapest chip but it is well well worth it.
