Hello everybody,
I posted here some time ago in order to have advices for a planar headphones and in the end I opted for the hifiman he400i 2020 as an entry level. I have been very pleased by the sound since, but lately I noticed a weird issue when listening to some piano recordings: it's like a vibration, or a hiss, on certain notes on the left speaker. The recordings are all flac and I use a Schiit Magni 3 to amplify the sound. It's like the he400i don't like certain frequencies... It's an issue of my pair or someone found similar problems? Any advices? Thank you so much in advance for your time guys 😊

The problem could be as simple as a hair poking through the grills and touching the driver, so it just buzzes at it's resonant frequency with the diaphragm movement.

Or, on the other (catastrophe) end of the scale it could be a hole in the diaphragm that causes buzzing at it's resonant frequency.

Have a look at your ear pads, take them off and see if there's any hair poking through.
That's the most likely cause.

Thanks so much! I'll check it and let's see if I'll find something! :)
