If anyone here is interested in gaming I would say that the HEKSE is by far the best gaming headphone I have ever used. The HEKSE gives you a really good sense of depth so you can hear if an enemy is behind or in front of you and the imaging is so precise and lighting quick that with the combination of the depth capabilities it's almost hack levels good.

The quote on quote best gaming headphone that people always bring up is the Sennheiser HD800S. I had the 800S and I thought it was really good for gaming but putting it alongside the HEKSE its not even in the same ballpark. The 800S just doesn't have the depth capabilities and the imaging is far less quick and precise in comparison. To summarize don't waste your money on the 800S if you want the best gaming headphone especially now that the HEKSE has had a big price cut.

What DAC are you using when you game with your HEKSE?

You are entitled to your subjective opinion, but objective facts like lower impedance and higher sensitivity of Stealth over V2 cannot be explained by simple change of magnet's shape.
It totally changes the way the sound passes from the diaphragm to the listeners ears and out the back side of the headphone.

Yes the depth capabilities are a lot better. You can really hear an enemy and how far away they are behind or in front of you and with the addition of the imaging capabilities you can pinpoint exactly where an enemy is.
I wouldn’t know from a gaming perspective, but I guess the same thing holds true if you listen to Katrina by Terrence Blanchard you can hear him turn away from the mic at the end of the recording and walk away. The He 1000 SE reveals this better than most headphones.

The diaphragm is different too...

In any case, it's a no-brainer because there are those who prefer the HE1000 Stealth and those who prefer the SE. I listened to both and in the end I chose the SE for the holographic factor in a chain made up of oor+hypsos and R26 in Ethernet with Roon. I also had the Arya Stealth which for the price is still a great headphone. However, I also had the feeling that the HE1000 Stealth didn't perform very well on the Oor while the SE literally flies, it's like night and day. Those who like the timbre of the Arya Stealth will perhaps prefer the HE1000 Stealth, but if you want to change and have more scene and detail with greater relaxation and holographicity, the SE is the way, at the expense of a very slight decrease in bass and subbass. However depends on chain too.

I was asked to add my PEQ for the HEKSE, I'll provide my PEQ, but please remember this may not match, due to different chains and preferences:

"type": "low shelf", "frequency": 105, "q": 0.699999988079071, "gain": 5.800000190734863, "type": "peaking band", "frequency": 1944, "q": 1.8799999952316284, "gain": 2.594168186187744, "type": "peaking band", "frequency": 95, "q": 0.30000001192092896, "gain": -2.3714957237243652, "type": "peaking band", "frequency": 3162, "q": 2.130000114440918, "gain": -4.599999904632568, "type": "peaking band", "frequency": 5058, "q": 5.679999828338623, "gain": -3.700000047683716, "type": "high shelf", "frequency": 10000, "q": 0.699999988079071, "gain": -4.199999809265137,
Thanks, it's hard to PEQ the SE. Much more difficult than Arya Stealth and HE1000 Stealth. Imho the SE, like the Susvara, don't need PEQ even if they hold up well the Equalisation, but especially an increase in bass and subbass, distorts the sound image by affecting the upper range and closing the scene (a harmonics questions, you realize this clearly especially in acoustic music). You have more punch, but you have less stage. The SE, imho, are made to be listened to as they are, without any adjustments. To my ear they sound perfect, but keep in mind that I have just passed fifty.

You’re absolutely correct. They require no equalization at all.

I have the Hekse and it's really a remarkable headphone! I play guitar and drums and everything just sounds right! It's my #1 headphone and I own/had many!!
How is the synergy of HekSE with your V590, I know its one of Violectrics more neutral headamps as I also have the V550, is there any vocal sibilance noticed particularly with older poorly recorded music, my HekV2 certainly had some sibilance issues with those recordings, I had placed the order for the HerkSE still waiting for it.

They pair really nice! Crystal clear sound with a wide stage and dark background. All the regular blah blah, but trust me the sound quality is superb! But every now and then there's still some sibilance with poorly recorded music. (Not often)

Oo and don't forget to give the Hekse some time to burn in! They sound ok out of the box and sound amazing after 80-100 hours.
