Wow ! These Headphones scale with gear. I just paired a Schiit Freya N with a Benchmark AHB2 to my HE1000se. I may sell all my other Schiit gear even the Folkvanger and Mjolnir3. Crazy Textured Bass. Now I have to borrow a Susvara, ModHouse Tungsten maybe even a Caldera. Tubes and Solid state with seemingly unlimited power. Clarity and speed is not overated.

I purchase a final sale Focal Clear from headphones.com, when I asked them they said return is possible in case of manufacturing defect but not for any other reasons.
Oh wow... even hifiman store and amazon has that at 1699. Thought that I bought at a grreat price at 1999 last november... should have waited

At least it's not just me! I just refreshed the page and it's still $1999.
I did email them about it, so hopefully they will update it as I prefer to order direct vs Amazon. Though I do see it is $1699 on Amazon so evidently they really are discounting it another $300

I just ordered the HE1000se today, not directly from Hifiman but from a dealer where I can exchange my LCD-XC for a good price.
I guess Head Fi classified section since you do not pay commission like sites such as ebay.
