My balanced cables for the HE-5 should be here late next week, it looks like.

I just completed my $12 Mogami/ Neutrik balanced cable (first try at a complete cable- turned out nice IMO) that I'll solder to my connectors Fang in including with the order (that is coming soon???).

I'm very excited about these. They will be my first HP upgrade, and for me it feels like a risk to go from the Grado sound I love to a sound I've never heard before. I guess including experimentation as a part of HP-love is... nothing wrong or out of the ordinary

As long as the HE-5 makes guitars sound great! =)

At least those of us who are waiting can find some solace in the fact that there's less than a week left of November.

Can't wait; I'm like that. Gave up on balanced rig after Chinese amp came defective for second time; the W5000s weren't in stock "after all", returned the balanced cable in time; getting out of HD 400s (maybe), etc.; got tracking number for EF5/HE-5 combo tonight, maybe this week if something finally goes right; my wallet hurts

It's the thrill of the chase that adds to the excitement.

The SA5000's are an entirely different animal. Can't really compare the two. Like comparing a Qualia 010 to an R-10. They're just so different.
You need to compare it to other Orthos.

Don't know if I've missed it being mentioned but aren't those connectors SMA's? If so, they are RF connectors and come in many variations and available almost everywhere= easy to make DIY cables
