Hi,
I have treated my Hifiman-400s with the ultimate care. This was made difficult by the ridiculously stiff sheathing on the cord. Now I find that both wires have seen the sheathing break and peal away a half inch from the rubber surrounds at the jack into the phones. I have tried to use electrical tape to provide protection and that fails miserably. I would rather not have to pay 125 buck for a new cord. Surely, this is a bad materials/design choice on the part of Hifiman. Have any of you had success in fixing this issue?
