Hi everyone, I'm using my newly purchased hifiman arya se headphone with audioquest dragonfly cobalt right now, do you suggest I switch to fiio k9 pro ess, will there be a noticeable improvement in the sound? Thank you.

I would always suggest a dedicated HP setup to get the most out of the Aryas. It doesn't have to be super expensive but they generally scale well with higher ended chains as opposed to entry level. They looove discrete Class A amps with at least ~2W power paired with your choice of DAC, IMO (amps are more critical for the Arya than the DAC as long as it's mid-tier or better).

That's exactly how I see it.

Yesterday evening I heard again really nice and loud EDM, and had to turn up the TA 10R to 90.
I'll measure it out, but my guess is:
Arya Stealth +EQ +EDM very loud needs at least 1.5 watts per channel....

For me, I'd generally not want to any drive planar with less than ~2W (really any hp unless ultra sensitive) - just so I'd have enough amplifier headroom for most any situation.

Currently running my Arya SE with Ibasso dx312 (8.3 vrms / 1300-1400 watts?). Im getting optimum loudness and great dynamics at around 50-60% volume. In the future im planning to hookup my Dap line out to a desktop amp (Burson soloist 3xp or Audio Gd Master 19) . For now I'm happy with the setup but I know she got more to offer with a desktop amp.

A world champion of resolution, coupled with lots of silky tube power,

I had a cheap tube buffer/preamp in between DAC and Emotiva A-100 at one time. Even that cheap combo added some tube-y goodness to the Arya. Keep us posted....
