Any idea what is this? Smells like glue.

Also i received it today, opened(wiped it), updated it, scanned SD card for music, then got distracted so i turned it off. When i tried to turn it on led became blue, screen backlight turned on, but dap didnt turned on. I tried buttons combinations of power+next track, power+previous track, power+volume buttons but zero success. Also I can’t force shut down it, back panel is green lighted always. Power + next track button for 15 seconds leads to blinking of blue front led and backlight of screen. How lucky am I?

I think it bricked unfortunately. My first one did the same thing, tried everything nothing happened. Had to return it to hifigo and they promptly send me a new one, if it's my same problem there's nothing you can do sadly. I was listening some music, when I paused the music it never came back, and the led was always on like yours.

I've had a few scary hard locks with mine too. I've been lucky, and it eventually sorted itself out each time. No idea how. Just kept at the various button combo holds, draining the battery, recharging, resetting, etc., etc. Good luck. I definitely won't be buying another Hiby DAP in the future.
