Hi guys,
 
Just taking a minute to introduce myself.
 
My name's Dean, I'm from London UK but now living in Auckland New Zealand.
 
Pure and simple, music is my life.
 
I've spent years playing in bands, a few years DJing and also worked as an audio engineer doing post production.
 
I'm a huge Hi-Fi fan. I love and appreciate good quality Hi-Fi and for the past few years have been slowly assembling a vintage hi-fi system. Keeping everything Japanese 1970's for that system. This is a secondary system to my main set-up.
 
So why did I join Head-Fi?
 
I'm here researching a good quality portable Hi-Fi system. Not satisfied with my ipod set-up and looking for ideas and advice on setting up a HQ portable system. Must admit I've spent quite a few hours here reading up on amps and DACs etc. Loads of useful info.
 
Also just bought myself some lovely sounding Pioneer Monitor 10's. I will save that for a separate thread as I need some advice.

Not looking for any more phones at present, but we all know that will change
 
Currently using my old Sennheiser HD-25s and my Pioneer Monitor 10's.
 
I'm not looking for anything too esoteric just a good solid portable amp/DAC and maybe something to replace my iPod.
