I'm really intrigued by hi definition audio and have a card that will support it, i really want to listen to something higher than 44khz and see if it makes a difference. Anyone know where i can download samples or anything of that nature? (i've managed to find a 32bit 96Khz mono file with some guy playing a guitar but thats about it)

Make sure you have a sound card that actually plays DVD audio! Are there any other cards than the Creative audio card line that do this.

Ripping DVD audio is still not trivial so without native playback support this would not help.

In case your card does not support DVD audio you can still get some limited content in hidef.

Chesky, Waterlilly Acoustics, Hiresmusic, and Classic Records have a series of video DVDs where the audio track is mastered in 24/96 2 channel PCM.
