I've been doing obsessive research on what headphones might be right for me, for I travel quite a bit. Both of these headphones fit most of my criteria so I was wondering what one you would suggest (feel free to suggest others too). I listen to pretty much everything that is between classical to hip-hop but no country, never country.

Depends on how you like your music served up...
 
The 780's have significantly more bass, and are somewhat brighter too
The 8400's provide a relatively neutral (perhaps slightly bass-shy) listening experience.
 
Personally, I like the 8400's over the 780's.  They're also more comfortable.
In the price range they're definitely one of my top choices.

I just found a deal for focus spirit ones for around 100 i was wondering if i should go with those or try and find the ones in the OP. Also, I want headphones that are pretty neutral but by no means bland, and i want ones that will stay on my head if i were to move around a bit.
