I have a moderate understanding of headphones and such but I need help choosing from the headphones that I will list. I have done extensive research on all of the headphones but have trouble choosing one to buy. My budget is up to about $150 at most. Please help out. Thanks

First things first...

- is it for portable use, home use or both?
- what kind of system will drive these headphones? Do you have an amp?
- do you need sound isolation (this will determine if you need open or closed headphones)?
- do you prefer bass heavy headphones or a flat response (or something else maybe)?

It's for both home and outside.
I have an Iphone 4S with no amp.
Doesn't really matter to me too much.
It shouldn't be a completely bass heavy headphone because that's the problem with Beats. It can either be flat or customized.

I really do like the Skullcandy Aviators and probably the one of the few skullcandy headphones that I do like ( they make a ton of horrible ones). These are very light weight and isolate fairly well ...

On a side note if you are using them outside you probably want a closed headphone and isolation is also a plus so you don't have to kick the volume up outside as well :)
