Well ive had my SACD 1000 for a couple days now and i looked through the manual and i found these different kHz filter switch. I get to chose from 40kHz, or 50kHz front and 40 back, or 50 kHz to all. Which should i choose? or is there really no difference?

Your ears will tell you the answer.

Less filtering is usually better, but there are plenty of variables.

Oh thanks. They just made it sound like if i had it on th wrong setting it would destroy me headphones so i figured ide ask first! : )

No. It's just a high frequency filter, supposed to get rid of unwanted interference. If there is interference it may be nice to use. If there is nothing to filter out, you won't hear a difference.
