I found a partial review of the ASL MG SI15DT Integrated http://www.uhfmag.com/Issue62/aslamp.html

And partial reviews of Four Headphone amps including the MGHEAD at UHF Magazine. http://www.uhfmag.com/Issue58/HP.html

I like the full reviews as they go in depth as to the strengths and weaknesses of each.

An Example of their full review is of this Passion PAK-I10 Tube integrated $685.00US http://www.uhfmag.com/Issue58/I-10.html

This is one of the more honest magazine from Canada and they respond to e-mail questions fairly quickly... http://www.uhfmag.com/

Okay...stage one...placed an order request for the MG Head in Gold...Hopefully it looks good in person.

I've never ordered over the internet and I've never had a tube amp.

How does the shipping work...I live in an apartment and may not be home when it arrives...do they keep it at the post office to be picked up...Sounds like a dumb question but hey it's a first time for me.

Depends how they ship it. There are usually 3 options if you aren't there:

1. They try three times (at least for UPS) then keep it at the warehouse for 1 week I think.

2. They leave it on your doorstep.

3. They leave it with a neighbor.

I think they leave you a note the first time from which you can choose the second or third option.

Thanks.

After speaking with the Canadian distributor...they prefer I buy it at their retailer...they told me the price is the same regardless. I like the folks there...and it doesn't burden me with the shipping.

Anyway, thanks.
