Helping build my friend a cheap speaker system. Need help
I'm not gonna do a hard search I'm looking for some quick responses. I need a USB dac + 2.1 reciever + 2 speakers that go pretty low (or if that isn't possible 2 speakers and 1 sub). I'll put a max limit at $500 if you can figure out something cheaper please tell me. The lower the price the better.
Thanks ahead for all help. :)

I have the Audioengine A2 myself. Wonderful set of speakers. Haven't got much experience with soundcards/dacs, but i would be getting a Audinst HUD mx1 to go along with my A2's and TF10 IEMs.

go over to the audioholics forum and search for Behringer B2030P.  wMax has done measurements and with some minor mods they turn into giant killers. They are about $150 a pair and can beat speakers 5 -6 times their price.  They need a sub, but you can get a budget sub from Parts Express, or find a used one on  Craigslist or Kijiji..  I found a $40 Energy sub to go with the pair I just bought.
