I'm searching but I guess I'm not using the right keywords. Everything that comes up is about buying some sort of equipment(table, stylus, cartridge) and/or DJ'ing. I still don't even know what these things do in the whole turn-table system. I just want to know what it takes to set up a turn-table & get some decent sound out of a record.

So what are some sites I can go to to learn about what makes a good turn-table setup? I know next to nothing already, don't have a table yet, but bought the one mentioned in this thread (it's on the way).

There are a lot of advanced users there, so it's a good idea to make sure you ask intelligent questions

. Search works really well there too, lots & lots of information.

I'll second all of those notions. Almost too much info if you ask me.
I like dealing w/ retailers who can hold your hand through setup. Todd the Vinyl Junkie is good at over-the-phone help. Yeah, he gives good phone!
