This Monoprice sub-woofer is designed to work with self-powered studio monitors.

Just run the connect from your source to the sub-woofer, then other connection from the sub-woofer to the KrKs.

Hsu is one of the better sub manufacturers, along with SVS and KRK. I've had the VTF1-MK2 for quite some time and love it. Very extended, musical sub that mixes easily with the mains, and still hits hard for things like movies. It's Hsu's cheapest sub, but you still get a lot for your money.
