I just snatched up one of those cheap (soon to be discontinued?) RadioShack 3904 portable CD players because I heard that the 15mW headphone out would be good at powering my new headphones, Grado 325's (not yet arrived). I'm thinking of taking it back now, though, just remembering that I have an old Sony D-131 (or about?) back at home (far away). My question is, how does this old, mid-Nineties Sony compare in terms of power? Does anyone know the exact mW specs on the headphone out?

thanks.

I don't know the specs of the sony, but I would personally recommend you to keep the radio shack. I would say so because the sony lacks any kind of shock protection. If it even had three seconds I would say go for, but having none can be a big pain at times.

My $.02
